Many of them hoped that might begin to change after Democrats successfully fought to include $5 billion in relief funds to help address some of the financial distress caused by that discrimination. But before a single check could be cut - white farmers filed more than 10 lawsuits all across the nation to block the money from being distributed. Why? Because white farmers claimed they were being racially discriminated against.
