Dr. John Boyd Jr returned to the Lurie Daniel Favors Show to explain how Black farmers have been fighting against discrimination from the US Department of Agriculture since the early 1900s. Many of them hoped that might begin to change after Democrats successfully fought to include $5 billion in relief funds to help address some of the financial distress caused by that discrimination. But before a single check could be cut - white farmers filed more than 10 lawsuits all across the nation to block the money from being distributed. Why? Because white farmers claimed they were being racially discriminated against.
